Fittings at Alaïa’s Paris atelier usually take place behind heavy velvet drapes in front of a huge mirror and a painting of the legendary founder himself. Made from the same sumptuous fabric that the likes of Naomi Campbell and Farida Khelfa have changed behind, these ‘Bombe’ sandals are lined in cushioning leather and hand-embellished with gunmetal studs at the ankle strap.
